Revenue Leak Report
Dentospire's Revenue Leak Report shows a dental clinic three places money is slipping away — unpaid bills, empty chairs from no-shows and cancellations, and patients who stopped coming — measured from its own records.
The problem in a real clinic
You have a feeling money is leaking, and the only numbers on offer are an online calculator's guesses multiplied together. A frightening total does not tell you whom to call on Monday.
How it works
- Open Finance and choose Revenue Leaks.
- Read what has been earned and not collected: the unpaid amount, how many invoices and how many patients it belongs to.
- See the no-shows and late cancellations from recent months, and the chair time they took.
- Check how many patients have had no visit for many months, with the one projected figure — what they would be worth if each came back once — shown apart from the measured ones.
- Work down the call list of those patients; each name opens the patient's record.
What you see on screen
- Measured figures and the single projection kept visibly separate, so the two are never added into one scary number.
- A warning when the clinic has too little history for the averages to mean much.
- A list of patients who have stopped coming, ready to call.
Safety and control
- Every figure comes from your own invoices, appointments and visits; nothing is taken from an industry average.
- The only estimate uses your own average paid invoice and is labelled as a projection.
- Nothing is sent to patients from this page; it shows you whom to contact and leaves the contact to you.
Good to know
- A new clinic with little history sees a notice instead of confident-looking averages.
- It shows where money is leaking; collecting it is still done from Bills and the patient's record.
- Treat the dormant-patient projection as a guide: not every patient on the list will come back.
Frequently asked questions
How does Dentospire calculate a dental clinic's revenue leakage?
From the clinic's own records. Unpaid invoices, no-shows and cancellations are counted as they happened. The only estimate — what dormant patients would be worth if each returned once — uses your own average paid invoice and is shown separately.
Can Dentospire list patients who have stopped coming to my clinic?
Yes. The Revenue Leaks page lists patients with no visit for many months, each linked to their record, so the report ends in a list of people to call rather than only a total.
When does Dentospire count a dental patient as dormant?
When they have had no visit for about nine months. The Revenue Leaks page shows how many such patients there are, lists them by name as a call list, and estimates what they would be worth if each came back once, using your own average paid invoice.
Does the Revenue Leak Report use industry averages?
No. Every measured figure is taken from your clinic's invoices, appointments and visits, and the one projection uses your own average invoice. If there is too little history, the page says so instead of guessing.
